The Corby Trouser Press
What the hell is it with the Corby trouser press? They must have had the best marketing and sales people in the entire world mustn’t they? Every hotel that I have ever stayed at in the UK has one and I don’t know anyone who has ever used one. This device was designed to remove the creases from the back of the knee of a gentleman’s trouser, how niche is that? And certainly the most recent hotel I stayed at had both a trouser press and an iron.
It’s time that these were all replaced with something a little more functional isn’t it? Maybe a belly button fluff remover, a mobile phone cleaning device, instant vajazzle maker? I’d really love to see a shoe cleaning machine or maybe a universal telephone charger.
At least we’re seeing the decline of the bible in hotel rooms. Maybe all the Gideon folk became Corby Trouser Press sales people?
