The Shores of Derwent
We had a walk around Derwentwater the other week, what a shame! I think maybe Keswick gets plagued with ‘undesirables’ too often. The views over Derwent are spectacular but the shores of Derwent are a disgrace. How can people consciously discard litter in such a beautiful place?
I think people who are caught littering should be put in stocks for a day in the nearest busy town and be made to go to the toilet in their trousers whether they need to go or not. They should then be made to collect litter and dog poo all day the following day with the expectation of picking up at least 10 black bin liners of rubbish.
