Hey Gringo, You're a Dirty Basket

We went to a Mexican restaurant at the weekend. On the tables were a selection of stick on thick moustaches and sombreros. Is that racist? If you went into a Chinese restaurant and they had Asian rice hats (Those conical lampshade hats!) with Fu Manchu moustaches and Sellotape so you could make your eyes narrower would that be offensive? Or how about blacking up tan and pretend spliffs in a Jamaican restaurant? Would that be OK? I think I came to the conclusion that it’s OK to be stereotypically offensive to Mexicans. I think the Irish fall into this category too!

We were sat next to a group of women who were out celebrating a birthday. Their conversations were a bit ‘Bawdy’ and one woman called another ‘a dirty bag’. Darwin started repeating this which made the women laugh. Subsequently whilst we were eating dinner the other evening Darwin took the last bit of garlic bread which Kerry obviously had her eyes on. She whispered “the liitle shit” to which Darwin responded “You’re a little shit, and a dirty basket”.
