Christmas with the Fairchilds

We were stopping with Kerry's granddad for the next few nights as we made a fleeting visit to see the Fairchilds in Fareham. Roy is a proper patriarch with hands that could easily crush a mans skull. If he was to reveal that he was one of the Krays henchmen it would be no surprise, because despite being a bunch of wrongs uns in their time they were also the epitome of gentlemanliness, as is Roy.  He also uses the paper to check what's on TV, I haven't seen anyone do that in a long time.

Roy and Piggy played with each other during the evenings and it was beautiful to watch.

The following day we went round to Migs and the girls gabbled on like they do.  Roy then took the whole family out for dinner, it's the first time I've ever seen anyone pay for a meal without looking at the bill, and a part of me was quite impressed.  Before we hit for home we called in on Debs and Danielle to complete our Surrey visits. Dom had been with us today and I realised that he is the person most like the Fonz that I know.  I'm sure some of his coolness rubbed off on Piggy as afterwards he was pointing at folk and saying "heyyyyy".
