It was my birthday today. I'm lucky enough to have a beautiful girlfriend who thinks birthdays are important and likes to make a fuss, even if I don't. I write this after the event and am now thankful she went to all the effort.
She took the day off to prepare a barbecue and tidy the house and unbeknown to me had invited my brother from Brighton and sisters c/w kids. We're very rarely all together in the same place so it felt rather special.
The girls decided to buy me a painting and had it framed, and guess who the artist is, Dave Pearson!!!
