Little Walks After Work

Now that it remains light until a sensible time of day we get the opportunity to take beautiful pleasant walks after work. And with our new beautiful surroundings why wouldn’t you? There’s little benefit to being cooped up when you have all this on your doorstep.

There’s a little hill near us full of playful lambs. At the top you get a grand vista of the Langdales and you can see the sea at Carnforth. There’s also a wall that has snot on it (I’m hoping that is isn’t snot but Darwin likes to think it is and he gets enjoyment from touching it). Last night we walked around Ratherheath tarn and saw a crocodile, well it was actually a Carp and when Darwin got upset that he didn’t see the crocodile I said it was a Water Pig and he wasn’t that interested. The other night we went to quite an ace play park on the shores of Windermere and we were the only ones there. It had a climbing wall, a massive tube to slide down and a death slide.

Light, warmth (nearly), flowers, it’s all good.
