Rugby Mill

My computer shakes as the floors and walls are currently being violently ripped from Rugby Mill, a huge building that occupies 80% of the view outside the windows of my office.  And it isn't being demolished spectacularly, it is being eaten slowly but surely by a digger with a huge arm and strong teeth that attacks it from it's belly.

Rugby Mill was built just over 100 years ago, not quite at the cotton industry's height, but just before its decline.  Wikipedia will tell you that it had 77 years of action, but I still remember "Jo Bloggs" jeans operating out of a small corner of the factory about 10 years ago.

This is truly a monument of times gone and the likes of which we will never see again.  I'll be photographing it regularly as it wastes away.
