"What time are you getting home tonight? I've got something for my Monkey" was the text I got on Friday afternoon. Kerry was off and she had done me a surprise!
The surprise was that she had cooked Bruschetta right from scratch. She had made her own bread, lightly oiled it, topped them with baby mozzarella, olives, diced baby tomatoes and the occasional caper. I smiled.

She has just told me to explain (in quite an angry mood) that the reason they are like this is because she was so busy making the house look pretty and lovely that she forgot they were in the oven!
