Mummy Loves Me

Darwin will often play for time now when bedtime approaches. Like a beaten Oliver Twist, as soon as I say “It’s time for bed now” he’ll say “Mummy, I’m hungry”. The other night spotting that Kerry was feeling soft, he incorporated this with a hug and a kiss. “OK, come with me into the kitchen and I’ll make you something” she said. As they were about to walk away I looked at Darwin at said, “Just to let you know, I know what’s going on here, you’re stalling for time. I’ll let it go this time but you need to get out of this habit”.

He then turned to me and displayed a faux angry face whilst still hugging his mother, “You know why Mummy is letting me stay up Daddy? Because SHE loves me!”

Little prick!
