1000, 2000, 3000, Check Canopy

Back in 1983 there was a TV programmes called ‘The Paras’ and it became one of the many reasons I joined the army.  After the programme we would meet up on the swings, twist the chains together and as they were unravelling and swinging at the same time we would shout, “1000, 2000, 3000, check canopy”.  We learnt that from the Paras programme!
