Thomas Land

We took a trip down to Thomas Land for Darwin’s Birthday and I’m pretty sure I was equally, if not slightly more excited about it than he was.

As soon as we got there we jumped on the classic car ride, took a ride on Rosie so Darwin could climb on Spencer and see some dinosaurs, took a ride back on Thomas c/w Annie & Clarabel, rode on Rheneas and was refused entry onto Toby going mental.  Darwin then drove Flynn with me in the elevating carriage and we completed the day with a very small ride on Winston.

The measure of the day wasn’t how long we had to queue v’s the thrill of the ride, because that would equal a pretty poor day. Indeed, when we arrived the queue for Winston would have been approximately an hour long, and the ride lasts about 2 minutes with very little to no thrills on it at all. And definitely the measure isn’t the bargain prices on Thomas merchandise. The Thomas Book Set that Kerry bought for £30 at TK Maxx retailed at £150. No, the true measure of the day was whether Darwin enjoyed himself and I’m confident he did.

We even met the Fat Controller who was a thoroughly nice man.
