Smoking Area

I was chatting to a friend at the weekend who told me it was 5 years ago to the day when smoking was banned in public places in Scotland.  It seems longer than that to me and seems utterly amazing that it was allowed in the first place now.  Did you know that the first modern nationwide tobacco ban was imposed by the Nazis?

Before the ban hit England I whizzed around some of the local pubs with my camera.  Some of the people I spoke to said that they would stop coming to the pub once smoking was banned, they would go to the off license and sit at home instead.  I wonder if the hermit population increased dramatically after the ban?
