Fleetwith Pike and the Via Ferrata

For our final day I thought we would do something ‘extreme’, so I booked us onto the Honister Via-Ferrata (only the basic one was available). It wasn’t quite as extreme as I imagined. We did do a slight descent and ascent using some iron pegs but the vast majority was a slow meander up a disused miners track to the summit of Fleetwith Pike. The ascent up Jack’s Rake on Pavey Ark is a little more extreme.

However, the weather and views were beautiful and again we had a wonderful time.
