Kerry and I managed to get away for the weekend on her birthday, we don’t go away enough just the 2 of us, I know! We didn’t go far, just north of Bassenthwaite and this time we used Airbnb rather than going swanky, and to be honest I think it was better than a hotel.
We took a walk by the shores of Crummock Water before checking into our Airbnb and then went down to the shores of Maryport to watch the sun go down.
It was lovely to spend time together, we walked hand in hand and we laughed, I only got told off a few times and then we got a lovely curry and both broke wind together all night.
