Dumping Crap in Space

As I was putting Darwin to bed last night Kerry rushed in with her iPhone. Elon Musk was sending the world’s most powerful rocket into space and she wanted Darwin to witness it live.

Back in 1981 the space shuttle Columbia made its debut flight. Mr Mark, our teacher at the time had secured use of the school television. He wheeled it across the playground and into our classroom and we watched as the spaceship rocketed off into space, live! Years earlier Mr Mark will have watched Apollo missions, probably not live, on TV whilst my dad read about the launch of Sputnik in the 50’s. Times have changed haven’t they? I don’t even think Darwin was that impressed!

Anyway, Elon Musk also took this opportunity to dump his first car, probably with a fridge and some asbestos sheets in the boot, into space, mental! Surely it would have been cheaper to get the local council to do it?
