Summer 2018

I write this on the last day of the meteorological summer and I can’t work out if it feels like it’s been a long summer or not. It does feel like Darwin has been off school for ages and I think that’s the big gauge to its length isn’t it? I remember summers lasting for ever when I was a kid.

Some of his friends came up over the holidays and I watched them having water fights and riding the go kart. Summer is a magical time.
