Rydal
We went to visit some caves today where a monster lives, or at least that’s what we told Darwin. On route to the caves he did show signs of worry about confronting ‘the Monster’ so we had to convince him that it was a nice monster, one that gives out cuddles and is fluffy.
In the cave we saved a beetle from drowning and shouted loud to hear the echoes. The monster wasn’t in after all that, it’d gone to work.
We roamed briefly in the lowlands of Rydal Mount jumping in muddy puddles (a favourite past-time of his new interest, Peppa Pig) and then descended to Rydal Water where Piggy walked in the lake, sometimes up to his waist.
