Dave Pearson Self Portrait

So after last weekends amazing find in Dave Pearsons gallery I went to see Bob Frith, one of Daves Executors and founder of the Dave Pearson Trust. What an interesting chap! He told me the truth about Dave (he's been mis-quoted by many of the tabloids!) and told me about when he went out to dinner with Don McCullin.

Any road, I bought a self portrait by Dave and it looks like it's going to be the last one to be sold. The others are now ring-fenced and I have this romanticised view that Dave Pearson will become the next Lowry and one day I'll be able to retire off the painting. Even if he doesn't I'm very pleased and proud to own the work.
