Cock Heavy

I’ve been sat in the conservatory during lockdown one and outside I have been privileged to witness spring coming into full bloom. This includes all the flowers, all the animals and the much more tolerable weather.

At lunch times, and with the desire to do more proper photography, I decided to undertake a small project. The project was all about spring and the arrival of the new flowers, but being taken during the pandemic lockdown I purposely made the background a blue screen so at a later date someone could add a more appropriate and natural image rather than a background to reflect a lockdown induced claustrophobic environment.

The only exception to flora subjects was an image of one of the new chicks we’ve acquired. We now have 12 new chickens, 10 chicks and 2 mummy chickens. We’re down to 6 chickens from the original peep. The most beautiful chicks are obviously cockerels. At times between us and the neighbours we occasionally become a little ‘cock heavy’ which ends up with cockerels competing for decibels all through the sodding night. Cockerels however make an acceptable ingredient to curry.
