Lovely Home

I still feel lucky to be living where we do, and the way Sedbergh presents itself to the visitor from the motorway is spectacular. Its lush green fields and heather covered fells, ever changing in the different patterns of weather is just so welcoming.

And I sit outside the house listening to the silence. I imagine a lot of folk can’t hear the silence in Sedbergh, they’re far too use to. They’ll hear the pecking of the woodpecker, the clippety clop of a horse or the hoot of an owl and not appreciate that in other places those sounds wouldn’t be heard, not because they didn’t exist but because they would be masked by automobiles, industry or alarms.
