Poppies In Ferrybridge
I took the opportunity to whizz back to Ferrybridge this weekend to photograph the poppies. I was explaining to Dave during the week that poppy fields are like the final scene from Gladiator for me, you know the scene where he is returning home gently touching the ears of wheat, well it was nearly the same for me but his wheat was my poppies. I say "nearly the same", as I entered the field I had to step over a human shit and a variety of crap that had been fly tipped, things got better as I got deeper into the field.
I could have spent a bit more time photographing Ferrybridge itself, a small town dominated by the power station but I had to get back.
