Taekwondo

Darwin has been doing Taekwondo after school and has slowly been getting quite into it (this is pre-Covid news), so much so that his instructor put him in for his first grading.

I felt so nervous for him. This was the first time I had seen him in his Gi (that's a Karate word. Taekwondo is Korean so I would imagine it's different!) (his uniform) and I felt so proud. Parents weren't allowed in the room which disappointed me but I did manage to get the occasional glimpse through the door.

He passed, I felt proud, as did he. I cried, he did not.
