Whilst we were down in Wales we went to Zip World in Bethesda which has the longest zip wire in the northern hemisphere and the fastest zip line in the world. I wasn't bothered in the slightest but the girls were cacking themselves a little bit.
We started the day with a talk from a stereotypical extreme boy. He used words like 'Guys' and 'Gents' in a slightly condescending unconcerned tone and gave us the impression he had done the zip wire a 1000 times using just his belt and a bit of courage.
Then we began on the baby zip wire taking us over some trees at about 45mph. As soon as we landed we mounted what looked and smelled like an ex-Army Bedford 4 tonner which took us to about 1300m. We dismounted and then took the mile long zip wire at speeds of nearly 100mph down to the bottom again.
I wanted to go faster and for it to be longer. If it wasn't for the parachute bit I think I would try skydiving.
