The boy gets bigger by the week, he's about 14lb now and the other night he sounded his first audible laugh. He's making noises now like he's thinking about talking. I repeat the alphabet to him phonetically (not Alpha, Bravo, Charlie etc.!) and he smiles, occasionally he answers back using a mixture of random sounds.
His latest efforts involve trying to roll over. I think last night I saw some sign of him slowly understanding that the trick is to move your leg first, but he struggles passionately for ages screaming like a weight lifter and turns red. In between attempts he lies on his back smiling. The problem is, whenever he is successful he can't do anything about it, he rolls on to his front and gets stuck there. Kerry is concerned that he will suffocate.
