I bobbed into Manchester yesterday to witness the Chinese New Year celebrations. There wasn't many Chinese people knocking about! I wandered into Chinatown but I think a gypsy travelling fair had got there first and set up to block the streets the best they could with "Hook a Duck" and "Chuck a Ball into a Bucket" stalls. I binned the idea after that.
It's the year of the rabbit this year and coincidently Kerrys friend had given her a belated xmas present the night before, a rabbit hat! I convinced her to wear it but when we were there she took it off as she thought it might be offensive.
